Time spent...

So hubby and I decided about a week prior to Thanksgiving that we wanted to have our own Thanksgiving dinner on Wednesday. Similar to when we were dating. So we ordered our cajun fried turkey from Kroger and it came with pumpkin pie, dressing, broccoli and rice casserole, mashed potatoes, gravy and rolls. Christian made yams from scratch and I made the mac and cheese and potato salad (recipe from my mom-in-law), and I made a lemon cake (recipe from one of the mothers in our former church). We had a ton of food and it was all delicious! I told him I would love to make this a tradition, have our own intimate family dinner and then we meet with the extended family members on Thanksgiving.

Anniversary

Today was hubby and I's 3rd anniversary and it was so much fun. We are actually celebrating it over a course of two weekends. So today we had an appointment at Portraits Innovations at 9am to take anniversary/family/Christmas portraits.

Rewind: On Thursday I bought a black dress, red pumps, red lipstick, red nail polish and red earrings- hubby's favorite color. So Friday night, after church I stayed up to do my hair.

So I woke up at 8am and showered, and put my make-up on. I was kind of mad at myself that I didn't practice putting the red lipstick on the day before because I had no idea what I was doing (I don't wear make-up. But since I've been mistaken as 15 year-olds so much lately, I'm definitely wearing it in hopes that it makes me look much older).

*Side note* I walked into a clothing store the other day and the sales associate said to me, "Are you looking for your mom?" I laughed and said no, I'm 25 years old.

Well hubby thought I looked very nice so I felt pretty good about myself. We were like 20 minutes late to our appointment but they were generous to squeeze us in.
