Baby weight: 3.53 oz (100 g)

What’s growing this month:

·         Baby’s head is more erect than what it’s been

·         Heart is pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day (this will increase to 1900 quarts per day at 40 weeks)

·         Baby has started growing toenails

·         My uterus weights about half a pound, and there’s about 7.5 oz of amniotic fluid surrounding my baby

How far along: 16 weeks, 6 days
Total weight gain: 5 lbs…woo hoo!
Maternity clothes: I bought some clothes today from Marshall’s. A couple pair of shirts and a pair of white shorts.
Stretch marks: The usual
Sleep: I sleep very well.
Best moment of this week: OMG! I felt the baby move on Saturday night. Hubby and I had just got home from my aunt’s birthday party and I was lying in the bed on my back to go to sleep. And I started feeling baby (and it felt like little pokes) and I wasn’t sure so I questioned to myself if I was feeling baby and I started feeling it again. So I started to get excited but before I got too excited, I poked my belly and baby poked me back. I screamed OMG Chris, I think I felt baby moving. I was soooooo excited but he was pretty much like whatever I’m asleep. Lol. Oh yea, hubby claimed that he felt baby move earlier that day but when I asked him how did it feel he was like idk lol. So anyways, I was sooo excited. It felt like little pokes coming from the inside of my tummy. It was very low on my tummy which really made me think it was baby. And it didn’t feel like how my tummy feels when it’s hungry or when I have gas. I also get these little twitches in my stomach from time to time and now I’m wondering if that’s baby too. It feels like muscle spasms in my stomach, but I will wait to see.. but it was the sweetest and most precious thing in my life.
Miss anything: No. I’m enjoying this little miracle grow inside of me.

Food cravings: Not really. I was loving me some oatmeal but I think I’ve had my share. This morning when I went to get some, it just wasn’t tasting the same. On to something else…
Anything making you queasy or sick: Well I did have the stomach flu this week (read previous blog) but other than that, I’m not all that queasy
Have you started to show yet: Hubby says I have…but I’m not noticeable to a stranger yet
Gender: Hubby thinks baby’s a boy now…we have 26 more days until we find out
Labor signs: nope
Belly button in or out: in
Wedding rings on or off: on
Happy or moody most of the time: I’m pretty much myself now-a-days…I hope I stay this way a while.
Looking forward to: Our next ultrasound…April 26
Anything else: I’m just so blessed and thankful that I’m able to carry a baby and I pray that baby continues to do well. I rather have my baby be healthy and I suffer, than vice versa. I’m so looking forward to meeting my little Sweet Pea.
