Baby weight: about 1.5 lbs (but I think June Bug may be bigger than that)
Fruit equivalent: corn
What’s growing this month:
·
Baby’s lungs are secreting surfactant- helps the
lungs to inflate
How far along: 24 weeks, 6 days
Total weight gain: more than 14 lbs I assume
Maternity clothes: Yes
Stretch marks: The usual
Sleep: It’s getting more difficult to find a comfortable position to sleep in. I still sleep on my back but tilted on either side.
Best moment of this week: It was so awesome, in church this past Sunday, I actually saw my stomach move. It was so cool. I guess June Bug likes church already and he stayed awake during the majority of the service. My First Lady felt him move after service.
Miss anything: Sleeping instantly…now it takes time to find a comfy place.
Movement: Lots of movement!!! I forgot to mention but at around 22 weeks or so I noticed June Bug hiccup and it was an even awesome experience when one morning when hubby was getting ready for work and he started to hiccup, I whispered for hubby to come to me and put his hand on my stomach and he was able to feel it to. You can tell it’s hiccups because it happens like every 2 or 3 seconds. Sooo adorable!
Food cravings: I eat cereal all the time and I have fallen in love with Minute Maid Lemonade...yummy
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope
Have you started to show yet: Yes!!!
Gender: Boy!
Labor signs: No way
Belly button in or out: In
Wedding rings on or off: On
Happy or moody most of the time: This week I have calmed down a little bit compared to last week
Looking forward to: 3 more weeks until I get to see Mommy’s baby again…I asked my Dad if he wanted to accompany me and he said yes! Hubby may not be able to come to u/s because of work
Anything else: I love being pregnant! It’s so amazing watching my belly grow and it’s wonderful when baby moves for me. On the way to work, I pray out loud and thank God for this little miracle inside of me. Oh yea, hubby and I are in the midst of trying to find a doula. We will interview our first doula on June 8…so I’ll be sure to keep you posted on how that goes
