Week 8

Hubby was adamant about not getting up from the couch, so he zoomed in to take the photo. Please excuse any kind of blurriness :)

Baby size: .63 inches
Baby weight: .04 ounce
Fruit equivalent: raspberry
What’s growing this month:
·         Eyelids are developing
·         Hands and feet have developed from the arm and legs buds
·         Neural pathways are starting to develop at a rapid pace
______________________________________________________________________________

How far along: 8 weeks, 6 days
Total weight gain: none
Sleep: That’s all I want to do is SLEEP. Exhaustion has hit me hard this week. It just comes up on me and I am forced to take a nap. I’m overwhelming tired now, but I’m forcing myself to do this update.
Best moment of this week: Watching my Sweet Pea dance on the ultrasound screen for mommy and daddy! It was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.
Miss anything: Being able to eat anything I wanted. It has been so frustrating these past weeks, constantly being hungry but not having an appetite for much of anything. Today hubby fixed Hamburger Helper and a couple bites of it made me want to vomit. He ended up microwaving me a turkey, egg, and cheese breakfast croissant sandwich.
Movement: Too soon. But I saw my baby move on the screen.
Food cravings: No, but I can tolerate eating pizza.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Absolutely everything makes me queasy. This hasn’t been a good week with that.
Have you started to show yet: No.
Gender: Hubby has always been convinced that it’s a girl. I told hubby if the 49ers win the Superbowl then we would have a boy (because the year he was born they won) and if they lose then we will have a girl. Needless to say, we are having a girl J. Everyone thinks we are having a girl, but I’m still holding on to the hopes of having a boy. But I think now I’ve been convinced that I’m having a girl also…well we shall see in 12 weeks…
Belly button in or out: In
Wedding rings on or off: On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Moody like crazy. On the way to church on Sunday, I had a meltdown and it started when I dropped my bagel and then I started crying because of the fact that I was crying. Omg, I have been super emotional!!!
Looking forward to: Hearing baby’s heartbeat at our next appointment!
Anything else?: Pregnancy brain is not a myth! I have been so forgetful it has been annoying. Yesterday, at our pastor’s house, my hubby told me not to forget the keys in the ignition. Of course I left the car on with the radio and the keys in the ignition. I totally forgot about it. Ugh, I feel sorry for my honey.
